Los Mediáticos is a performance piece based on selecting, fragmenting, remixing and looping references to produce sound collages from specific contexts.
The exercise is simple: I invite musicians to perform
and ask them for their top songs from
a specific context.
Having the playlist ready I modify
the sources using DJ tactics while inviting them to improvise.
The performance is recorded and edited.
